Common questions.

Does Stockpilot store my customers' data?
No. We never access or store customer names, emails, addresses, or any personally identifiable information. The Notify Me feature stores customer mobile numbers only for operational purposes — they are automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.
How does the Auto-Restock engine work?
You enable Auto-Restock in Settings → Inventory and choose a mode (immediate, daily, weekly, or consolidate) and a buy algorithm (balanced, conservative, aggressive, velocity, or lead-time). Stockpilot checks your inventory levels on a schedule and automatically creates DRAFT purchase orders for any SKUs that need reordering. All auto-generated POs require your manual confirmation before anything is sent to a supplier — you'll always have full control.
What email alerts does Stockpilot send?
Stockpilot can send three types of email alerts: low stock (when a SKU breaches your reorder threshold), stockout (when a SKU reaches zero), and auto-restock (when the engine creates a new draft PO). You can also enable a daily digest that summarises your inventory health in one email instead of individual alerts. All alerts are sent via Resend and include a 24-hour dedup guard to prevent flooding.
Which Shopify plans is this compatible with?
Stockpilot works with all Shopify plans. Multi-location inventory features require a plan that supports multiple locations (Shopify, Advanced, or Plus).
How are purchase orders created?
POs are always initiated from the Inventory page — select the SKUs you want to reorder using the bulk-select checkboxes, then click "Create Purchase Order". Stockpilot automatically groups your selections by supplier and creates one PO per vendor.
How does Notify Me work?
You add the Notify Me theme block to your product pages in the Shopify Theme Editor. When a variant is out of stock, the block shows a mobile input field. When the customer submits their number, it's saved to your waitlist. From the Notify Me dashboard in Stockpilot, you can see all waiting customers and send them a WhatsApp message with one click when stock is back.
Do I need a WhatsApp Business account for Notify Me alerts?
Yes, WhatsApp restock notifications require a Meta Business account with WhatsApp Business API access. You connect it in Settings → WhatsApp via a one-click Meta OAuth flow. The Notify Me waitlist itself works without WhatsApp — you can still view and manage signups, and export them as CSV.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Purchase orders can be exported as print-ready PDFs or CSVs. Notify Me waitlist entries can be exported as a CSV from the Notify Me dashboard.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
All your store data is permanently deleted from our systems within 48 hours of uninstallation, in compliance with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks.
